APPOINTMENTS
Do I need to make an appointment?

Appointments are greatly appreciated by the sales staff! This gives us the opportunity to work exclusively with one customer at a time and to be available to answer all of your questions. If you are a walk-in customer on a busy day, we may not be able to accommodate you at that time. We will be happy to schedule you an appointment for another day.

How long should I plan for an appointment?

We schedule appointments in 1-1/2 hour increments.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can click here to request an appointment on-line, call us at 781-329-6300 or simply stop by the boutique during normal business hours to schedule your appointment.

BRIDAL GOWNS
What designers do you carry?

How far in advance should I purchase my gown?

Gown lead times vary depending on the designer and even the time of
year. We suggest you order your gown according to the following
timetable:

Bridal 8 months prior to event
Attendant 6 months prior to event
Mothers 4 months prior to event
Social 4 weeks prior to event
Prom 4 weeks prior to event

Why does it take so long to get a gown? Is there any way to get a gown more quickly?

Bridal gowns are exquisite in their fabrication, design and
construction – and, this takes time! Additionally, due to the expense of materials and workmanship, gowns are not made until a customer order is placed. Rush orders are offered by most designers for an
additional fee. Rush orders are handled on an individual basis.

I love a gown by one of your designers, but you don't have it in the store. How can I see it before purchasing?

Many of our designers offer “loaner” programs. For a small fee, we can request and borrow a gown for a customer to try on. The customer is responsible for the fee and shipping and handling costs to/from the designer. If the gown is purchased, these costs will be credited towards the gown purchase.

ATTENDANT GOWNS
What Attendant designers do you carry?

Do you offer discount for multiple attendants?

Yes. For brides who purchase their bridal gown at Allure, all attendants receive 15% off (regardless of number). We offer 10% off bridal parties of 8+ for bridal parties where the bride did not purchase her gown at Allure.

How do I place an order for my out-of-town attendant?

Please call or e-mail us and we will send you an "Attendant Order Form" with all of the information we need for out-of-town attendants.  The completed form can be faxed or emailed to Allure for processing of the order.  We will review measurements and determine the appropriate size.  Please understand that Allure is NOT RESPONSIBLE for gown sizing on measurements provided by the customer.  As with all orders, a 60% deposit (reg. retail price) is required to place the order.  We accept credit card payments over the phone and will send a credit card authorization form to the customer for approval.  All sales orders and invoices need to be signed and returned to Allure before the order will be placed.

TRUNK SHOWS
What is a trunk show?

A trunk show is an event where our store will feature a designer’s complete line of gowns from their most recent collection for a set period of time (typically 2-3 days). If you love a particular designer’s gowns, trunk shows are a great opportunity to see them all at one time, in one place.

Do you offer diacounts at trunk shows?

Yes, we typically offer a special promotion in coordination with a trunk show event. Please contact us to inquire about specific trunk show promotions.

SAMPLE SALES
Do you sell gowns "off the rack"?

Yes, we will occasionally hold sample sales and make our
sample gowns available to customers for purchase “off the rack” at greatly reduced prices.  To see our current offering of Sale gowns, follow this link.

However, the majority of bridal gowns at Allure are not available for immediate sale, but used for customers to try on. Once you find your dream gown, we take your measurements & order your gown.

ALTERATIONS
How much do alterations cost?

The cost of alterations will vary depending on a number of factors; 1) how well your figure’s unique measurements “fit” the gown you selected; 2) the complexity of the design/construction of the gown and 3) the degree of custom changes per customer request.

At your first fitting appointment, our alterationist will give you an estimate on the total cost of alterations. The following may be used as a guideline:

Bridal $150-$350
Attendant $50-$150
Mothers $50-$150
Social $50-$150
Prom $20-$100

When should I shedule my fitting appointment?

If time permits, brides should schedule their first fitting appointment approximately 8-12 weeks prior to the event.  It typically takes 3 fitting appointments, but can be more or less depending on the nature of the alterations.

Other alterations should be scheduled 4-6 weeks prior to the event.

Do you rent tuxedos?

Our tuxedo supplier, After Hours recently announced that they will no longer be renting tuxedos through retail outlets.

We are currently evaluating alternate suppliers and hope to announce a new tuxedo partner soon.

What other products and services does Allure offer?

Allure is a full service bridal boutique.

We offer attire for brides, grooms, attendants mothers, grandmothers and flower girls.

We carry all related accessories – undergarments, shoes, jewelry, headpieces, veils, purses.

We offer shoe/purse dyeing.

We carry favors/gifts/accessories by the Beverly Clark Collection.

We offer gown preservation.
